PalmaThe deputy spokesperson for Vox, Sergio Rodríguez, announced this Wednesday that they will vote against the capital city law, for which a report was issued this Wednesday at the Institutional Affairs Commission in Parliament. He asserts that there are amendments, such as the modification of the structure of the Health areas so that nurses can direct them, which are alien to the original spirit of the text. However, the regulation could still go ahead because the PSIB voted in favor of its processing last May.
"For the moment we will vote no, because it has undergone transformations that distort the agreement reached by the Vox municipal group with the mayor of Palma, Jaime Martínez," stated Rodríguez. After referring to the case of the nurses, he said that "it is an important enough issue that it should not be slipped through the back door" into a law that has nothing to do with it. Asked about the fact that Vox has often presented amendments to laws on issues that have nothing to do with them, he said that it is time to engage in "self-criticism" and that they have changed their position after a "reflection".
The deputy also said that the group has registered amendments to the law on the limitation of vehicle influx in Mallorca, which is also in process. "It must be improved a lot, the freedom of movement of Spaniards or Mallorcans cannot be hindered," he said, and censured the "fundraising zeal" of some issues.
