Woman arrested at Ibiza airport for trying to board a plane with boarding closed

PalmThe Civil Guard has arrested a 31-year-old Swiss woman who attempted to board a plane after boarding had closed at Ibiza Airport. The woman was arrested for resisting arrest and disobeying authority after reacting in a hostile and violent manner towards Civil Guard officers, the force reported in a statement on Wednesday. The incident occurred last Sunday when the passenger pushed a ground staff member and forced her way through the boarding gate after being denied access to the aircraft. Civil Guard officers from the Fiscal and Border Detachment at Ibiza Airport went to the scene and found the passenger on the aircraft steps, attempting to board.

After being informed that she could not board the aircraft and that she had to leave the area and go inside the airport, the woman refused and reacted in a hostile and violent manner towards the officers, which led to her arrest.
