PalmaThe Urban Planning Department of the Palma City Council has authorized the license for the construction of 80 limited-price rental homes in the Son Ferragut neighborhood, specifically on plot number 6 of Isabel de Villena street.

The authorization, approved in the Management Council this Tuesday, culminates the granting of licenses corresponding to the first phase of the municipal housing shock plan promoted by Cort, as reported this Tuesday by the council in a statement. In this way, the initially planned number of limited-price homes in this first phase will increase to 167, 87 of which will be built in Camp Redó and 80 in Son Ferragut.

These homes will be subject to regulated rents in accordance with regional regulations and will have reserved percentages for specific groups, including those under 35 years of age, over 65 years of age, and single-parent families. Those lots from the first phase that remained vacant will be directly assumed by the City Council itself, with the aim of ensuring the complete development of the plan.

This first phase will continue with a second stage of the municipal housing shock plan, which foresees the construction of more than 800 homes distributed across seven municipal plots, actions that will be accompanied by new facilities to meet the needs of different neighborhoods.

Apart from the municipal housing shock plan, the Urban Planning Department has also granted the license this Tuesday for the construction of a building with 20 homes, 9 of which will also be covered by the limited-price scheme. To this, we add the various licenses that are routinely authorized for the change of use of premises or offices to homes, some of them also under the limited-price scheme, with the aim of incorporating new properties into the residential market.
