PalmaA 25-year-old dance instructor has been arrested in Mallorca accused of continuous sexual assaults on five students between the ages of 8 and 12. This was explained by the Civil Guard, which has not provided further details, as the investigation remains open to establish if there are more victims.

The detainee, of Spanish nationality, allegedly sexually assaulted the five minors, students at a dance academy in Mallorca, on a continuous basis, and allegedly recorded the assaults to later disseminate the videos online.

The on-duty judge of Inca ordered the provisional imprisonment of the detainee this Wednesday, who is being investigated for alleged crimes of corruption of minors, sexual assault, production, possession, and distribution of child pornography, and degrading treatment.

The investigation began after a notification sent by the international database International Child Sexual Exploitation Database, which alerted to the existence of videos of a minor victim of sexual abuse distributed through messaging applications and a forum on the so-called deep web.

The investigations, carried out by cybersecurity specialists from the Central Operational Unit (UCO) of the Civil Guard, made it possible to identify the environment in which the images were recorded and relate it to a breakdance association in Mallorca, leading to the location of the investigated instructor, who was already arrested in May 2023 for sexual assault.

The suspect allegedly habitually shared images and videos of child sexual exploitation in groups dedicated to this type of content and, in some cases, used artificial intelligence to generate pornographic material with minors.

The Civil Guard searched the detainee's home on Monday, July 27, and seized several electronic devices. The investigation remains open to identify possible new victims.
