"Fuck them all": The words of a PP councilor to the residents of Llucmajor

Inmaculada Pérez has apologized in a statement for using this expression

At the last plenary session of the Llucmajor Town Council, which saw significant citizen participation demanding solutions for the Llucmajor Music School—including the Association of Families and Students—the mayor, Xisca Lascolas, called for a recess. During the break, the microphone was left on and recorded the conversation between Lascolas and the Councilor for Urban Planning, Inmaculada Pérez. "You should have continued and not called for any withdrawals, screw them all," Pérez remarked. "No, I want them to leave," the mayor replied. "They'll leave anyway," the councilor insisted as the residents left the plenary session. But the microphone not only recorded this incident, it also captured Lascolas asking the participants to "make way." "I should be home by 10," she insisted.

The PSIB (Socialist Party of the Balearic Islands) presented a motion calling on the governing team to take action to improve the current situation of the municipality's music school, but the governing team voted against it, according to opposition sources speaking to ARA Baleares. "The residents who had come to complain left when they saw the governing team reject the initiative." For his part, the spokesperson for Libertad por Llucmajor (Freedom for Llucmajor), Alejandro Caffaro, pointed out that "more than 100 people have attended three consecutive plenary sessions," which has increased the pressure on the governing team in recent months. However, Caffaro warns that "however much the governing team wants to justify the tension, the last plenary session was very calm." He adds that half of the opposition had already left the previous session because the governing team "violated the rights of a person with reduced mobility and chose to hold the session in the plenary hall rather than in an adapted room." Furthermore, he explains that Lascolas has already used the recess technique in the last two plenary sessions. The statements made by Lascolas and Pérez with the microphone open were "the last straw," Caffaro believes. "We have widespread maintenance and urban planning problems that haven't been resolved in three years. All these management errors are compounded by the lack of respect they showed in the plenary session," he says. As a result of these events, the PSIB, Libertad por Llucmajor, and MÁS per Llucmajor are calling for the resignation of the mayor and the councilor for Urban Planning. Moreover, MÁS per Llucmajor has submitted a motion of censure for the next plenary session, considering that "this contempt is incompatible with public service." The eco-sovereignist spokesperson, Oriol Gómez, explained that the party does not expect the mayor and the councilor to resign because, in his opinion, "they lack the capacity to assume that political responsibility." With this initiative, the eco-sovereignists intend to bring the actions of the PP (Vox and ASI) to the forefront so that their governing partners can express their opinion. The PSIB spokesperson in the municipal institution, Jaume J. Oliver, believes that Pérez's remark was also directed at the opposition groups. For her part, the Councilor for Urban Planning apologized in a statement for the remark she made during the recess of the last plenary session of the island institution. "It was an inappropriate comment, and I take responsibility for having made it." She further explained that the phrase was uttered "in a tense moment during the departure of a large number of attendees." However, he asserted that he is aware that "regardless of the context" he should not have expressed himself in this way. Nevertheless, he emphasized that the expression does not reflect his work style or the respect with which he has always addressed the citizens of Llucmajor. However, Oliver insists that the PSIB is demanding the mayor's resignation because "it is unacceptable for a councilor to do this and not be dismissed."
