Mallorca takes to the streets again to demand an end to the Palestinian genocide.
At the end of the march, the National Police charged against the protesters and arrested four people.

PalmThousands of people took to the streets of Palma again this Sunday to demand an end to the genocide in Gaza and to express solidarity with the Palestinian people. The demonstration started in Plaza de las Columnas and continued along Carrer de Nuredduna, Avenida Alexandre Rosselló, Plaza de la Porta Pintada, Carrer de los Oms, La Rambla, Carrer de la Unió, and Passeig del Born to the headquarters of the Spanish Government Delegation.
Under the slogan "To resist is to exist," the mass protest, called by Ciudadanos and Mallorca for Palestine, calls for, among other things, a complete break with Zionism and a boycott of Israel.
More than 4,000 people took to the streets to urge the state government to sever ties with Israel, demand an end to the massacre in Palestine, and denounce the attack on the humanitarian flotilla, which has led to the imprisonment of all the activists, including Lucía Muñoz, Alejandra Martínez, and Reyes.
Minutes before the march began, there was a tense moment between the National Police and a group of protesters after they confiscated the metal supports holding Palestinian flags. Hundreds of people attended the rally with Palestinian flags and kufis (the Palestinian headscarf).
At the corner of Carrer de la Unió, a group of protesters set fire to a Carrefour shopping cart as a symbolic act.
During the march, attendees chanted "It's not a war, it's a genocide," "Boycott Israel," "Israel is not a country, it's a job," and "Prohens is a friend of the Zionists," among others.
Likewise, as the march passed multinationals that the organizing entities consider financially linked to the situation, protesters booed and urged a boycott of companies such as McDonald's, Starbucks, Burger King, Domino's Pizza, and others. Upon arriving at the Spanish government delegation, members of the organization read the manifesto, which you can read below.
Minutes after the protesters gathered outside the Spanish government delegation chanting against Israel, the National Police began charging at a group of protesters and identified them. Some were injured, and four people were arrested.
It's worth noting that this is the second time Mallorca has demonstrated in support of the Palestinian cause this week. Hundreds of people in the Balearic Islands took to the streets on Thursday to protest after Israel intercepted the boats that were part of the Global Sumud Flotilla and imprisoned the activists on board.
