A man dies run over in Son Ferriol: The driver fled and abandoned him

PalmaA 70-year-old man has died after being hit by a car in Son Ferriol, in the area near Palma's second ring road (Ma-30). The driver who hit him fled the scene, leaving the fatal victim on the ground without assistance.

As reported by the Civil Guard, the accident occurred on Sunday afternoon, when the victim was walking along the shoulder in an area not authorized for pedestrian traffic. Hours after the incident, the Civil Guard managed to identify and locate the driver, a 59-year-old man. Now, the armed force has launched an investigation to clarify the facts.

Civil Guard agents performed alcohol and drug tests on the driver, which returned negative results.
