Man dies while threatening an elderly man with a knife in Ibiza

PalmA man died this Saturday in Santa Eulalia (Ibiza) after entering his neighbor's home and threatening him with a knife. The Civil Guard explained this in a statement, detailing that the man was under the influence of drugs and that his death is being investigated.

According to the armed force, officers went to the elderly man's home after receiving a report of threats. When they arrived, they saw that the assailant was drugged and suffering from hallucinations. He also had a knife in his hand, which he was using to threaten his elderly neighbor.

When officers attempted to restrain the attacker, he began to convulse, collapsed, and lost vital signs. At that moment, the Civil Guard notified the Emergency Services and attempted to revive the man while medical personnel arrived. Neither the officers nor the doctors were able to restore vital signs, and his death was certified shortly afterward.

An investigation has now been opened by the competent judicial authority to clarify the cause of the man's death.
