PalmaThe demonstration called for this Saturday in Sóller by the Platform Less Tourism, More Life is planned as a peaceful, civic, and family mobilization. The organization has called for responsible participation and respect to ensure the day unfolds with normality and safety.

In this regard, they have appealed to follow the indications of the organization and the security service, with the objective of facilitating a fluid, safe, and ordered march. Special consideration is also requested for the neighbors, the activity of the shops, and the conservation of public space.

For its part, the Sóller City Council has informed that, for safety reasons and following the instructions of the Spanish Government Delegation in the Balearic Islands, between 10:00 and 14:00 hours, the public highway cannot be occupied with terraces, commercial displays, markets, and craft stalls along the route of the demonstration. The measure will also affect Cristòfol Colom and Jeroni Estades avenues, Spain and Mercat squares, and Born and Bauçà streets.

The Council has clarified that these restrictions do not require commercial establishments, bars, or restaurants to close. Businesses may continue their activity whenever they deem it appropriate, although they will not be able to occupy public roads during the established time slot. Furthermore, it will be necessary to remove vehicles parked along the route of the demonstration, especially on Santa Teresa street and in the areas of Els Estiradors and Es Celler.

The organization also recommends that attendees come prepared to face the high temperature. It is recommended to bring water to stay hydrated, a hat or cap, sunscreen, light clothing, a fan, comfortable footwear and, for those who wish, banners, signs, whistles, drums and other sound elements to participate in the protest. Under the slogan of defending the territory with respect and coexistence, the organization encourages citizens to make the mobilization an example of civility and collective commitment. "Those who love this land, defend it," they recall.
