Residents evacuated by the Manacor fire are now home, and no homes have been damaged.
By late Thursday the fire had already been extinguished.
PalmThe residents of seven homes near the fire that broke out this Thursday in Manacor spent the night in their homes after being able to return last night. No homes were affected by the blaze, which burned more than three hectares.
Sources from the Mallorca Fire Department indicated this Friday that these are the people who live in the area near the fire and that they themselves chose to evacuate the area as a precaution.
It should be noted that late Thursday, the agricultural fire that broke out in Manacor at 5:40 p.m. near the Ma.-15 road near the wastewater treatment plant was declared under control.
Firefighters from the Manacor and Felanitx fire stations participated in the extinguishing efforts, along with the island's Fire Department's Milana helicopter, which responded for the first time, as well as two aircraft from the Balearic Institute of Nature (Ibanat).
Civil Protection units from Montuïri and Vilafranca also took part, protecting homes in the area, and accompanying a woman and her baby, who were not injured.
