The Alaró Castle hospitality will continue to offer service during the month of May
Activity will be maintained from Friday to Sunday with accommodation and meals, while during the week the care of facilities and animals is guaranteed
PalmThe Board of Trustees of Alaró Castle has reported that the inn will remain operational during the month of May, despite being in the process of awarding the new concession for the donated property. The fact that the tender was declared void in the first instance has caused a delay in the awarding of the concession, which is expected to be made shortly to begin operating on June 1.
The Board of Trustees of the Foundation has activated a continuity plan to guarantee the maintenance of the space and some essential services. In this regard, they have explained that a foundation specialized in the management of healthy leisure and free time spaces has been hired, which will assume the provisional management of the inn for one month.
Thus, during the weekends of May, from Friday to Sunday, the inn will offer restoration and accommodation services as usual, allowing residents and visitors to continue enjoying the space. During weekdays, however, there will be no public service, but the care of the facilities and animals will be ensured at all times.
This period will also serve to carry out revision, maintenance, and preparation tasks for the facilities, with the aim that the new concessionaire can start the activity with all guarantees and with a complete service as soon as possible.
The mayor of Alaró, Llorenç Perelló, has highlighted that “at the City Council and the Es Castell Foundation, a significant effort is being made to keep the service alive and ensure that the Castle continues to be a reference point for the town and for all visitors”. Likewise, he has emphasized that “the delay in the awarding responds to issues beyond the will of the council and the Board of Trustees of the Foundation”.
