PalmThe Christmas Lottery Good fortune has smiled upon the Balearic Islands once again. Monday's special lottery draw brought luck to various locations in Mallorca and Ibiza, thanks to a third prize and two fifth prizes that were sold, in whole or in part, in several municipalities across the islands. The number 90,693 won the third prize, worth €500,000 per series (€50,000 per tenth share), and was sold in the Port of Alcudia, Cala d'Or, and Consell. The number was drawn at 11:12 a.m., on the fourth wire of the fifth board.

In addition, the Balearic Islands also received two fifth prizes, worth €60,000 per series (€6,000 per tenth share). The first was 77715, sold at the Carrefour shopping center on General Riera in Palma and in Sa Carroca (Ibiza), which was drawn at 11:06 a.m. on the second wire of the fifth board.

The second fifth prize that brought money to the Islands was 23112, sold partly in Palma, and drawn at 10:34 a.m. on the first wire of the fourth board. This number was announced by the children Alba Yadira Pica Tapia and Italy Andrea Blanco Flores, while Dylan Sánchez Núñez and Judith Sañaba Pispi Ondo were in charge of drawing the balls.

Prize at the Carrefour in Coll d'en Rabassa

Andrés Mata, the seller of part of this latest prize, from the lottery office located in the Carrefour shopping center in Coll d'en Rabassa, was "very happy" to have sold nine tickets, all over the counter, according to Europa Press. "We're very happy, we're here to share," he said. This isn't the first time this office has brought good fortune at Christmas: in 2014 it sold part of the second prize and in 2009, part of a fifth prize. Regarding prize payouts, Loterías y Apuestas del Estado (the Spanish National Lottery) has announced that payments will begin on the afternoon of December 22nd, once the usual verifications and computer processes have been completed, and can be collected until March 23rd, 2002. Tickets can be collected at any of the Loterías y Apuestas del Estado's retail outlets, either in cash or via Bizum, while amounts of €2,000 or more must be collected from authorized financial institutions, BBVA and CaixaBank.
