PalmThe Estudi General Lul·lià premieres this Thursday, September 25, at 6:30 p.m., the play Never audit!, a staging of dance and theology, based on an original idea by Amador Vega, in which the choreographer and dancer Cesc Gelabert is inspired by a text by the Swiss playwright Valère Novarina, which includes a series of definitions of God from different traditions, and which will be recited by the actress Caterina.

This innovative performance is part of the activities and initiatives of the Llull Laboratory (Llull Lab), created by the Estudi General Lul·lià with the aim of giving expression to new ways of understanding and transmitting the thought of Ramon Llull. The Llull Lab is a space that hosts projects that connect contemporary science, art, and technology with Llull's intellectual and spiritual vision as a source of inspiration.

Nunc Audite! It perfectly embodies this collaboration and exchange between specialists and scholars of the Mallorcan philosopher and the derived themes, and artists of contemporary critical culture promoted by the Llull Lab.

The work reflects on the meaning, or meanings, of God. The tradition of reciting and meditating on the names of God transcends faiths and latitudes. Theologians and philosophers, both religious and atheist, have orbited and still orbit around the impossible name, in search of meanings that always prove temporal and changing. Amador Vega will speak to us about all this through the dance of Cesc Gelabert and the voice of Caterina Alorda, connecting with the audience.

Cesc Gelabert, an internationally renowned dancer and choreographer, is recognized as a pioneer of contemporary dance in Catalonia. He was inspired by the Swiss writer Valère Novarina. Meanwhile, Mallorcan Caterina Alorda is one of the most prominent actresses on the theater scene and has also appeared in television series. Amador Vega is a professor of Aesthetics and Theory of the Arts at Pompeu Fabra University, where he directs the Center for Studies in Aesthetics, Religion, and Contemporary Culture (CERCCA).
