PalmThe State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) forecasts that autumn in the Balearic Islands will be warmer than expected and with average rainfall. This was explained by the Aemet representative for the islands, María José Guerrero, at a press conference on Thursday, where she reviewed a warmer-than-usual summer and gave an overview of the forecast for the coming months.

The change of season will arrive on September 22 and will last for almost 90 days, until the end of December. According to Guerrero, September, October, and November will tend to be warm, with rainfall "normal," that is, around 230 liters per square meter.

The three months between October and December will also be warmer than usual, with temperatures approximately one degree above average, and rainfall is forecast to remain within normal limits. Between November and January, temperatures are expected to continue rising, between 0.5°C and 1°C above normal.

Guerrero explained that autumn could be divided into two parts: the first with sunny days, scattered clouds, and intense storms with the possibility of tornadoes or tornadoes; and the second with more gray weather, widespread rain, and even the first frosts and snowfalls in the Tramuntana mountains.
