PalmThe National Police have arrested a man, an employee at a health center in Palma, for allegedly intimidating five female colleagues and subordinates with degrading sexual comments and repeated sexual advances.

The police force began an investigation following a complaint from three female employees at the center, who stated that they had received degrading sexual comments from a male employee with whom they had a superior relationship at work, as the three women were in training at the time. According to the Balearic Islands Police Headquarters, the employees explained that when they were alone with the accused, they received sexual comments and advances of a sexual nature.

Most of these situations occurred in the mixed changing room, when the women went to change, or in any other space where the man could ensure they were alone, which fostered an intimidating environment and serious harassment against the victims. In many cases, the sexual expressions were accompanied by lascivious glances seeking physical proximity, creating a humiliating and intimidating environment for the victims.

In addition to the three workers' complaints, two additional complaints were received from women working at the health center, who reported similar behavior toward them by the suspect. During the course of the investigation, officers received a letter from ten workers in which they reported repeated behavior by the suspect, who acted in an intimidating manner by staring at the workers for long periods of time and lasciviously in the mixed locker room, causing them moments of great humiliation.

However, the police have arrested the man as the alleged perpetrator of a crime against moral integrity. So far, five victims have been reported, although the investigation remains open and further complaints cannot be ruled out.
