PalmaArtist Susy Gómez has donated the sculpture 'Els dies VI' (2003), a large galvanized wrought iron butterfly, to the space for gestational, perinatal, and neonatal grief at the Son Valentí cemetery in Palma. The piece, measuring 245 centimeters in height, aims to pay tribute to unborn children and provide a symbolic place for the memory of families who have suffered the loss of a baby.

The sculpture will be presented this Saturday, October 31st, at 12 PM, while on Sunday, November 1st, at the same time, a collective participatory performance action will be held in memory of unborn children.

The grief space, inaugurated in April 2026 by the Palma City Council and the Municipal Funeral Company with the collaboration of the Estels del Cel association and the Humanization Area of IB-Salut, offers a place of welcome and tribute to families who have lost a baby during pregnancy, childbirth, or the first days of life.
