PalmThe Palma City Council is supporting the new edition of Art Palma Brunch, which this year celebrates its 21st edition and will take place on Saturday, March 21, from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM. The program will be enriched with offerings from the Pilar and Joan Miró Foundation of Mallorca and the Casal Solleric. The event, organized by the gallery association Art Palma Contemporani, was presented this Tuesday at the Nivia Born Boutique Hotel with the participation of the First Deputy Mayor and Councilor for Culture of Palma, Javier Bonet. Also in attendance were the Vice President and Councilor for Culture and Heritage of the Consell de Mallorca, Antònia Roca; the Regional Secretary for Culture and Sports, Pedro Vidal; and the General Coordinator for Culture and Tourism of the Palma City Council, Fernando Gómez de la Cuesta. The event was hosted by the President of Art Palma Contemporani, Fran Reus.

During the presentation, Bonet highlighted the importance of cultural initiatives like Art Palma Brunch in strengthening the city's cultural profile, especially in the context of Palma's bid to become European Capital of Culture in 2031. According to the councilor, proposals like this are "unequivocal proof of modernity and commitment." This year, Palma is participating with a variety of cultural offerings. Rediscovering Miró: the magic sparkDedicated to celebrating the work and legacy of Joan Miró.

Meanwhile, the Casal Solleric will host presentations by Eva Lootz and Andrea Canepa, as well as the opening of an exhibition by Donna Ferrato and a joint project by artist Clara Carvajal with the Casa Planas Foundation. This program also includes activities at Es Baluard – Museum of Contemporary Art of Palma, featuring works by Jannis Kounellis and Fiona Rae. The 2026 edition consolidates Art Palma Brunch as a highlight of the island's cultural calendar and expands the number of participating venues. In addition to Palma, the event will also take place in Andratx and Pollença, and this year the municipality of Santanyí joins for the first time with the participation of en66 Gallery. Furthermore, the organizers have focused on strengthening the international character of the initiative through a collaboration with Torino Art Galleries, one of Italy's most renowned cultural spaces.
