PalmaThe City Council of Inca unveiled this Tuesday the poster for Dijous Bo 2026, the work of graphic designer, illustrator, and visual creator Rubén-Darío Garcia-Pujals. His proposal was selected from among ten works submitted as part of the public competition annually organized by the City Council. The author will receive a prize of 700 euros.
The winning image offers a look at Dijous Bo as a set of elements that, together, represent the history, traditions, and character of Inca. The poster incorporates references to peasant culture and the rural world, such as a basket full of earth, a peasant hat, a horseshoe, and a sobrassada that becomes a symbol of Mallorcan identity. Also appearing are the bell tower of Santa Maria la Major and the banners that dress the streets and announce the arrival of the festival.
The composition is completed with a texture that evokes artisanal materials and embroidery, over which stand out vivid and expressive strokes that represent the people. Precisely, the people are one of the central elements of the proposal: thousands of visitors who, year after year, fill the streets of Inca and give meaning to this massive gathering.
With the presentation of the poster, Inca begins the countdown to a new edition of Dijous Bo, an event that turns the city into the capital of the Balearic Islands and a meeting point for thousands of people during one day.
