A 7-year-old girl dies after being hit by a car on a sidewalk in Palma; her mother and grandmother are injured

PalmA three-year-old doll died Sunday morning in Palma after being struck by a vehicle that mounted the sidewalk in the Coll d'en Rabassa neighborhood. The girl's mother and grandmother were injured in the same incident, according to municipal sources. Initially, emergency services informed the media that the child was seven years old, but this morning the Palma Local Police corrected the victim's age, stating she was only three. The doll died at the scene, while her mother and grandmother were injured and required emergency medical attention. The driver, a man in his fifties, was unharmed but was taken to a hospital for tests. According to initial reports, he tested negative for alcohol. Several SAMU 061 units, as well as officers from the Palma Local Police and the National Police, have been dispatched to the scene of the accident. The National Police have taken charge of the investigation to clarify the exact circumstances of the incident. A team of psychologists from the 112 emergency service has also been activated to assist the family of the deceased minor.
