PalmaThe National Police identified 112 people this Saturday during the operation deployed at the Plaça d'Espanya in Palma and the surrounding streets in light of a new call linked to the Blocus movement. The checks ended with 23 administrative reports, although the day passed normally and without any notable incidents.
Of the total number of reports, five were for possession of weapons, eight for drugs and ten for other objects, among which were stones. The officers also handed over a minor to his parents after he committed several offenses.
The searches were carried out during the afternoon, coinciding with the second call related to Blocus in Palma. Plaça d'Espanya had a significant police presence, but also a high turnout of people in costumes for Halloween.
Despite the checks and identifications, there were no major disturbances of public order. The situation was calmer than in the previous call, when incidents and arrests had been recorded in the center of Palma.
The calls have been spread in recent days through social networks and channels linked to youth groups that use the name Blocus, a fact that has motivated a reinforcement of the police presence in Plaça d'Espanya and its surroundings.
