PalmaThe reproaches between the Government and the opposition have been the general tone in the last general policy debate of the legislature. After four and a half hours of bickering between parties without a break in the plenary session, the spokesperson for M茅s per Menorca, Josep Castells, added a relaxed tone to the equation. Castells delivered a voucher for a lobster stew for two people in Menorca to the president, Marga Prohens. With one condition: that she approves the limitation of vehicle entry to the island before the end of the mandate.

The voucher that Castells has delivered to Prohens has a photograph of a lobster on a convertible. "To the attention of Margalida Prohens Rigo," reads the note: "Voucher for a lobster stew for two people of your choice." However, he adds an asterisk. "This voucher is only subject to one condition: that an effective limitation on the entry of vehicles to Menorca be applied for the 2027 tourist season," he adds. "I fear I will not be able to invite her," predicted the Menorcanist, who reproached the Popular Party member for not having mentioned Menorca during her speech.

Menorca is the last island where the PP has agreed to activate the limitation on vehicle entry, and there are doubts that it can be applied in 2027. The limitation is already in force in Ibiza and Formentera, and the Council of Mallorca has already approved it for processing in Parliament.
