A six-year-old boy dies at the Son Comelles estate in Montuïri

MontuïriA six-year-old boy died Saturday afternoon after being accidentally run over at a country house, specifically at the Son Comelles estate in Montuïri, between Sant Joan and Vilafranca. The incident occurred around 6:00 p.m. when a vehicle reversing struck the child. According to several sources, the driver apparently did not realize the boy was standing directly behind the car at that moment.

A pediatrician was present at the property and immediately began CPR to try to save the child's life. Shortly afterward, emergency services were alerted and arrived at the scene along with officers from the Civil Guard, the Montuïri Local Police, and Civil Protection volunteers. According to reports, the family does not reside in the town of Montuïri, and the child attends school in Ciutat. The driver of the vehicle is believed to be a friend of the child's parents. Medical personnel and psychologists were still at the scene after 9:30 p.m., attending to all those who had gathered at the Son Comelles property.
