PalmThe PP has launched a call to left-wing voters who "cannot see" Vox conditioning governments and investitures. This is the first reaction of the popular spokesperson in Parliament, Sebastià Sagreras, after the results of the elections in Andalusia, with an unsatisfactory outcome for Juanma Moreno Bonilla's PP, which despite being the most voted force has lost five deputies compared to 2022, has fallen two seats short of an absolute majority and will again need Vox to govern.

The internal polls of the Balearic PP indicate that, if there were elections now, it would be close to an absolute majority (30), but it might not reach it (getting 28 or 29 deputies) and would depend again on the far-right. "There is a segment of voters who cannot in any way see Vox conditioning investitures and governments," he said: "The alternative is to vote for the PP." Sagreras has avoided equating the situation in Andalusia with that of the Islands, although it responds to a general trend of the rise of Vox and the stagnation of the PP. "The results of the PP have been exceptional," he said, proudly stating that they are the leading force: "The socialist party has repeated the worst results in its history." The president of the Govern, Marga Prohens, has limited herself to congratulating Moreno Bonilla on his "clear victory" in a tweet.

Vox claims "national priority"

For their part, the Vox spokesperson, Manuela Cañadas, has assured that her party's candidate for the presidency of the Junta de Andalucía, Manuel Gavira, is "the great winner" of this Sunday's elections, and has insisted that the Islands will continue on the same path. "What Vox has achieved in Andalucía, we will continue to achieve here," she stated, and predicted that Vox (which obtained 8 deputies in the last elections) could grow to 10 or 12 in the next regional elections in 2027.

Vox has grown by one deputy compared to 2022, reaching 15, with 13.8% of the votes. In this regard, the former Vox deputy and currently non-attached Xisco Cardona has highlighted that the party is experiencing a "braking in vote progression and is moving between 10 and 15%". "There is a certain stagnation of Vox," he opined: "We are not sociologists, but what may come later could be a certain drop".

The PSIB admits the poor results

For their part, the spokesperson for MÉS per Mallorca, Lluís Apesteguia, has claimed the results of Adelante Andalucía (which went from two to eight seats) insisting that they are proof that the sovereignist left is the one that has "the capacity to grow and to stand up to the right and the far right". In this regard, he has launched a criticism of "state left-wing forces", such as Sumar, with whom they share a parliamentary group in Congress: "They are more concerned with their survival and maintaining their power quotas than with responding to different situations". All in all, he has not responded whether they will renew the alliance with the party for the upcoming general elections.

In turn, the spokesperson for the PSIB, Iago Negueruela, has admitted that the Andalusian socialist party did not achieve a "good result", as it lost two seats (28) in a historic stronghold. All in all, he has highlighted that "the one who has lost the most seats is the PP". Regarding the Islands, Negueruela recalled that the PSIB obtained "more votes in 2023 than in 2019" and, if it could not reach the necessary majority to form a government, it was due to the defeat of the left. On the fact that they have not yet proclaimed a candidate for the elections in the Islands in 2023, he insisted that "the times will be set by the federal committee": "We are respectful of the deadlines and the internal procedure of the socialist party".
