PalmaThe executive meeting of MÉS per Mallorca that took place this Tuesday evening closed with more questions than certainties. The space has not yet decided who will lead its list for November 29th to Congress and it has not closed the alliances definitively either. What is known is that negotiations have advanced with the members of the Broad Front and, conversely, remain deadlocked with Podemos, a party that was expected to be integrated into the equation. However, this morning negotiations were continuing and there may be last-minute progress, as the deadline to present coalitions is this Friday.

Regarding the leader of the Ara Més candidacy, the current deputy Vicenç Vidal and the spokesperson for Ara Més, Carme Gomila, are vying for the spot, although party sources claim that right now the balance is tipping in favor of Gomila. On the other hand, sources from the organization report that negotiations are progressing with the left-wing space gathered under the umbrella of the Broad Front, but they have stalled with Podem due to disagreements with their spokesperson, Lucía Muñoz, which complicates a single candidacy.

Where there has been an approach is with the PSIB. As ARA Balears advanced, the two parties are negotiating the presentation of a single candidacy for the Senate, with the goal of maximizing electoral results. Sources from both parties explain that the agreement is close to being finalized, but they do not consider it definitive because Ara Més is in parallel talks with several groups and one piece could cause the others to fall.

This Wednesday, Més per Menorca will convene an assembly of its grassroots members to establish a position, while MÉS per Mallorca will do the same next Thursday at 7 p.m. The deadlines are becoming increasingly tight to commit to a path, with a view toward the general elections on November 29th.
