PalmInca mayor Bartomeu Bauçà Arrom will be in charge of delivering the opening speech for Dijous Bo 2025. The event will be held on Friday, November 7, at 8:30 p.m., at the Teatro Principal in Inca, and will kick off the most anticipated days of the "fair of fairs." As detailed by the Inca City Council on Monday, the opening speech will feature performances by the Orfeón el Harpa de Inca and the quintet of the Mallorca Chamber Orchestra, with the participation of tenor José Manuel Sánchez and soprano Aina Campaner.

Bauçà, 54, is a much-loved figure in Inca. Born and raised on Avenida de Lluc, he learned the plumbing trade with his uncle Andreu Arrom, and years later founded the company Bauçà Rubert Instal·lacions (BRI) with his brother-in-law.

Beyond his professional career, this year's town crier has been one of the great promoters of Inca basketball. In 2012, he participated in the creation of the Ciudad de Inca Basketball Club, of which he served as president for twelve years. He is also one of the founders of the Dijous Bo Basketball Club, an organization that proudly bears the name of Inca's biggest day.

His commitment to sport and association life has led him to hold positions of responsibility, such as vice-president of the Balearic Islands Basketball Federation, and to become a member of the board of trustees of the FEBIB 1935 Foundation, which promotes the charitable and humane side of basketball in the islands.

The mayor of Inca, Virgilio Moreno, stressed that "Bartomeu Bauçà represents the spirit of Dijous Bo like few others: the effort, the commitment, the enthusiasm and the pride of being from Inca." Moreno was convinced that he would offer "a speech full of feeling and love for our city."

The Dijous Bo speech marks the official start of the fair's events. After the reading, the public will be able to enjoy a musical evening with the planned performances, in one of the most special moments of the Inca calendar.
