PalmTwo disruptive passengers who forced the diversion of a Ryanair flight last May, which was flying the route between London and Ibiza, will have to pay a joint fine of over 10,000 euros. This has been determined by the Toulouse Criminal Court, which has also sentenced them to ten months in prison, a sentence that has been suspended.

As reported by the airline in a statement, the events occurred on May 17, 2025, on a flight departing from London Stansted Airport bound for Ibiza. During the journey, the two passengers behaved in an "abusive" manner towards other customers and did not obey the crew's instructions.

The situation forced the interruption of the flight, which was carrying 184 people, and its diversion to Toulouse-Blagnac Airport in France. The incident significantly disrupted the passengers' journey, who saw their trip to the island interrupted.

The company has "positively" valued the judicial resolution and has insisted that these types of behaviors will not be tolerated. "It is unacceptable for passengers, many of whom are traveling with family or friends, to suffer unnecessary disruptions due to disruptive conduct," a spokesperson said.

In this regard, Ryanair has emphasized that the sentence highlights the legal consequences faced by those who disrupt order on board, as part of its zero-tolerance policy. The airline is confident that decisions like this will help deter future incidents and ensure a safe and respectful environment for passengers and crew.
