Illegal party at a villa in Ibiza: more than 100 guests paying €130 entry fee for two drinks
The fine could reach 300,000 euros.

PalmThe Santa Eulària del Río Local Police have filed a complaint against the owner of a villa built on a property located in Cala Olivera (Ibiza) for the holding of an illegal party that, according to investigations, violated several current regulations. According to the police force, the fine for the illegal party could reach 300,000 euros.
The city council of the Ibizan municipality explained in a statement this Wednesday that to detect the party and verify non-compliance with the various regulations, officers from the Santa Eulària del Río police force carried out several operations. The first of these was the monitoring of various private vehicles and private passenger transport vehicles, after receiving a tip-off of what could be a meeting point for clients of an illegal party.
Once the location where the party was being held was identified, officers from the police force went to Cala Olivera to prove the illegal activity. To obtain additional images and information about the celebration inside the chalet, officers used a drone. Apparently, the organizers had decided to hold the party in the basement of the house to prevent the music from being heard outside and thus prevent neighbors from discovering the party and reporting it.
After conducting these investigations, officers noted the presence of security personnel and people leaving this private property. The attendees with whom the police officers spoke explained that there were approximately 100 people in the building and confirmed that to enter, they had to pay an entrance fee of 130 euros and were given a wristband entitling them to the party and two drinks.
The City Council will now initiate disciplinary proceedings for organizing a profit-making leisure activity without a permit or authorization to do so. This could result in fines ranging from €30,000 to €300,000, depending on the severity of the violations detected.
