Investigate the finding of two bodies on Formentera beaches
Since the beginning of the year, at least eight dead migrants have been located in the waters of the Balearic Islands
PalmThe Civil Guard has opened an investigation to clarify the circumstances of the death of two bodies found on the beaches of Formentera.
According to Europa Press sources from the Armed Institute, the first lifeless body was located last Friday at 8 p.m. in the area of Cala Pou d'en Miquel Pere.

This Sunday, at 9:45 a.m., another body was found on Pujols beach and, after it was recovered, it was transported by funeral services.
For now, it is not known if the two bodies are migrants who lost their lives trying to reach the Balearic Islands by dinghy, but it is a hypothesis that investigators have on the table.
Since the beginning of the year, at least eight have been located –ten with these two– in the archipelago as a whole, and in 2025 there were more than fifty.
