A man admits to raping a 14-year-old doll in Palma, but avoids jail with a plea deal.

PalmA man accepted a two-year prison sentence on Wednesday for raping a 14-year-old girl in Palma in 2020. The parties reached an agreement in the Second Section of the Provincial Court, and the convicted man will not go to prison on the condition that he does not commit any further offenses in the next three years. He will pay €7,500, of which he has already paid €3,500. The prosecution initially sought a nine-year prison sentence for the crime, but before the trial could take place, and thanks to this agreement, he will avoid prison time because he has no prior criminal record and the sentence is less than the minimum required for incarceration in these cases. Furthermore, the man is prohibited from approaching the victim for the next five years and has committed to paying the remaining compensation.

With the agreement signed this Wednesday, the man admitted that he invited the minor, whom he had met that same day through a social network, to his home and raped her.
