Nearly 400 objections have been filed against the Sa Pobla train project in Alcudia.

PalmThe "Este tren no!" platform has estimated that at least 400 objections have been submitted to the planned extension of the train from Sa Pobla to Alcúdia. This figure, according to a report on social media this Monday, was recorded in the Sa Pobla Town Hall registry as of last Thursday. These objections must also be added to those submitted to other town halls and regional departments, both on paper and online.

The platform considered the participation process a "resounding success" and that the complaints were "well-founded." Thus, it celebrated the fact that people, whether directly affected by the project or not, "have been able to express themselves and make their voices heard."

Now, sources from the platform have indicated, they will await the response from the authorities. "We trust that they will be addressed and that all the errors committed to date will be rectified. We assume that there will be no mechanically copied responses, but rather real and reasoned considerations," they said.

If the citizens' complaints and demands are not addressed, the platform has warned, "the gap between political leaders, both municipal and from the Government, would widen and lead to situations that are difficult to manage." "Confidence has already been exhausted; all we have left is a glimmer of hope. We demand efficiency and good public management from those responsible for the train in Mallorca. We've had enough of words," they concluded.
