According to sources from the Palma City Council, the property is about 70 years old. After the collapse, the house was sealed off to prevent access to the interior due to the risk of further collapses. A married couple lived in the dwelling, and they did not need to be relocated by municipal social services. The two people were able to stay at a relative's house. The collapse occurred after municipal services detected the risk associated with the state of the property and ordered its evacuation.
