PalmResidents of Palma have called for a pot-banging protest in front of the City Hall to protest the felling of 18 beautiful shade trees in Llorenç Villalonga Square.

The protest will take place at 10:00 a.m. next Monday in Plaça de Cort, according to a poster shared on social media by the Llotja and Born neighborhood association. The trees were cut down on Thursday morning after weeks of protests from residents. The City Council, with the backing of a Palma court, made the decision to cut down the century-old trees due to the risk of them falling.
