Prison for three men for robbing a Palma arcade with a fake gun
During the confrontation, the woman managed to take the mask off one of the assailants and verified that the weapon he was carrying was simulated
PalmaA judge has sent three men arrested for robbing a game room near Aragó street in Palma with a simulated pistol to provisional prison, where they took the cash register. This is what police sources have explained to EFE in relation to the situation of the alleged perpetrators of the robbery, which occurred on June 8 around 4:45 a.m. in an establishment in Palma.
Two of the assailants entered the premises with their faces hidden, one with a mask and wielding a pistol, while the other, with a hood, demanded money from the employee shouting "this is a robbery" and "give me everything you have." One of the robbers entered the counter area and ripped out the cash register to steal the money, the Superior Headquarters of the National Police in the Balearic Islands reported this Thursday.
The employee, in a state of shock, tried to recover the cash register and struggled with the armed robber, causing the takings to fall to the ground and the coins to scatter around the establishment. During the confrontation, the woman managed to remove the mask from one of the assailants and discovered that the weapon he was carrying was simulated. After obtaining the loot, the two robbers fled in a vehicle where a third accomplice was waiting for them.
The National Police's robbery squad launched an investigation that led to the identification of the three responsible for the robbery. The police force, which set up a device to locate the suspects, found two of them in Palma on Wednesday, although one tried to escape near the Llevant Industrial Estate and hid in a building, where he was eventually arrested. The third accomplice was arrested in Marratxí after several search efforts at his relatives' homes.
