PalmThe Santa Catalina and Jonquet Civic Neighborhood Association has denounced the decision to install a Christmas market in Palma's Feixina Park, claiming it was made "behind the backs of residents, artisans, and market vendors." Christmas Market in Palma It will be open from November 21st to January 6th, for about ten hours a day on weekdays and up to twelve hours on weekends and holidays, according to details provided.

Residents of the area gathered this Sunday in Feixina to express their dissatisfaction with the Christmas market and to criticize it as an "arbitrary decision, without a public tender, without consensus, and with favoritism, which, under the guise of revitalizing the city, undermines community life."

"We will no longer be able to use the park for two months to rest, play, walk the dog, read, exercise, socialize, among other things, so that a private business dressed up for Christmas can develop," the association denounced. The residents lament that, although they were not consulted on the matter, they will still contribute through their taxes "to the added cost of activities like this," which will exacerbate the noise and overcrowding problems of an already saturated neighborhood.
