The educators of the nursery schools prepare a start of the course with mobilizations

PalmaThe educators of the nursery schools of the Balearic Islands grouped under the Xarxa 0-3, of which UGT, CCOO and STEI are part, are preparing the start of the school year with mobilizations with which they intend to continue advancing towards the salary equalization of all workers in the sector. This Monday they met in an assembly in which the union representatives conveyed the content of the meeting they held last week with the Minister of Education and Universities, Antoni Vera.

Likewise, they have addressed the content of the Decree-Law approved last Friday by the Governing Council, which provides for the salary equalization of educators in private early childhood education centers not integrated through a supplement, the amount of which is still unknown, and the delegated payment of payrolls. Although they view this measure favorably, two of the coordinators of the 0-3 Network, Irene Madroñero and Noelia Jiménez, have warned in statements to the media that the supplement excludes educators in public centers under municipal management from salary equalization.

"The salary equalization supplement is very positive, but we have to see under what conditions it will be implemented," pointed out Jiménez, who nevertheless regretted that it is not a salary improvement "for everyone." "It is an open door. Now we have to move forward on this path and see what we find. There is predisposition on the part of the Ministry and that is positive, but we need to see what the legal terms are and what the reality is that we are facing," she added.
