PalmForbes Women Spain This Monday, the magazine presented its list of the 50 most influential women in the Balearic Islands for 2025. These include the president of the Balearic Government, Marga Prohens; the singer and television presenter Chenoa; and the Michelin-starred chef Maca de Castro. In this way, the magazine aims to highlight the leadership and contributions of outstanding women in sectors as diverse as business, politics, culture, sports, and innovation in the archipelago.

The selection, compiled by a committee of experts, highlights the wealth and diversity of female talent in the Balearic Islands. The list also includes names such as Sara Ramis of the Barceló Hotel Group; Francina Armengol, former Balearic president and current president of the Congress of Deputies; Carmina Albaladejo, director of the Mallorcan footwear brand Retail that bears her name; and Mar Aldeguer, owner of Coolook and Vidrios Gordiola.

Tourism Sector

In the tourism sector, the following stand out: Begoña Amengual, Executive Director of MAC Hotels; Inmaculada Benito, Director of Tourism, Culture, and Sport; Sabina Fluxà, of Iberostar; María Mercedes Escarrer, of the Meliá group; Maria Antònia Llull, of Hipoteles; Carmen Matutes, of Palladium; Encarna Piñero, of the Piñero group; and Maria and Antònia Plomer, of Zafiro, among others.

Forbesexplains that this recognition seeks to highlight the fundamental role of women in the economic and social development of the region, and to serve as an inspiration for new generations. The publication of the list coincides with the celebration ofForbes Women of Influence Summit 2025, which is held in Palma and brings together many of the award winners, consolidating them as role models for female leadership in the community.
