The lack of agreement continues and TIB workers will go on an indefinite strike starting Friday.

The SATI union has pointed out that although there were some approaches during the meeting on Wednesday, they were not enough to end the strike.

PalmTIB workers will begin an indefinite strike this Friday after failing to reach an agreement with the concessionaire companies to resolve the dispute.

Following the meeting between unions, employers, and government representatives held last Wednesday—in which positions were narrowed but no agreement was reached—there has been no further progress, according to the SATI union, which also stated that no meeting is planned for the coming hours.

For its part, government sources have indicated that constant contact was maintained with the parties on Thursday and that the government remains committed to reaching an agreement as soon as possible.

Thus, the indefinite strike will begin this Friday in Mallorca, Menorca, and Ibiza, following three 24-hour stoppages that began last Friday and which have had a broad follow-up of between 80 and 96%.

After Wednesday's meeting, the union criticized the employers' association for "not making any moves" and, for example, for presenting "the same" economic offer as in the previous proposal. However, it positively valued the government's attitude, which "did contribute and lend a hand."

For his part, the Minister of Housing, Territory, and Mobility, José Luis Mateo, acknowledged that positions had been brought closer, which he considered "a priority," although there are still points to be discussed that will need to be finalized in future meetings.

The union does not rule out the possibility of some contact before the end of the day, although, they assure, "at this point, nothing." The Balearic Business Federation of Transport (FEBT) has indicated that at this time "everything is blocked" and that no further meetings are planned. They also lamented that the companies' proposal was not sufficient for the unions, despite the "extra effort" they claim to have made.
