These are the lines that the EMT will reinforce from the beginning of the school year.
Palma City Council has also reported that it has managed to incorporate another 13 buses.

PalmThe Palma EMT (Municipal Transport Company) will expand its school bus service this new school year with 13 more buses than last year and will improve its frequencies during peak hours for entering and leaving schools starting this Wednesday, September 10.
Corte's Mobility Councilor, Toni Deudero, presented this Monday the new schedules of the Municipal Transport Company (EMT), which will come into effect coinciding with the start of the school year, the City Council detailed in a statement. In total, the EMT will start the school year with 191 buses in operation, which represents a 24% increase compared to 2019, when there were 154.
The councilor said that thanks to the reinforcements in the workshop, the number of buses in service before the pandemic has increased by 13. With this capacity, the number of scheduled daily trips has increased by 33% this year compared to 2019, rising from 2,944 trips per day to 3,924. Meanwhile, service hours have increased from 2,534 to 3,067, representing an increase of 21%.
The improvements implemented for this new school year focus on the lines that connect with educational centers, especially during school start and end times. The City Council has announced the new route of the L36 (Son Espases Circular), which will extend to La Teulera to bring students closer to the school district. This special service will be activated during school start and end times, responding to requests from neighborhood associations and families in the neighborhood, as well as from educational centers in the Son Rapinya area.
Another notable new feature is the addition of more frequencies to L7 (Son Serra–Vileta–Son Gotleu), with new additional departures between 7:00 and 8:30. Thus, during peak hours for entering and leaving schools, lines 5, 7, and 8 will have a frequency of every 5 minutes, while on L10 and L12, the midday schedules will be reinforced, which will reduce the intervals from 13 to 10 minutes.
The additional reinforcements will also be restored on L3 (Puente de Inca–Juan Carlos I) and also on L7. The usual frequency of every 10 minutes will be maintained for the rest of the day. Likewise, special services on other lines linked to schools, such as L10 (Son Castelló-Sindicat) and L35, will be reactivated, with the return of the route to the IES La Ribera, as well as the reinforcement on L12 with a connection at the IES Son Pacs.
There will also be reinforcements on L14 (San Jorge/Hostalot-Pl España) for the Amadib school, implemented at the beginning of the month, and also on line L19 (UIB and Parc Bit-Porta del Camp), with a frequency every 20 minutes. In addition, lines L5 (Rafal Nuevo-Plaza Progreso), L8 (Son Roca-Sindicato) and L10 will recover the frequencies for the school year that is now starting.
