Two treated for smoke inhalation in a fire at the old prison of Palma

PalmaThe left wing of the second floor of the old Palma prison suffered a fire this Wednesday, around 3:50 PM, for which two people required medical attention for smoke inhalation. Several units of the Palma Firefighters, who extinguished the fire, as well as agents of the Immediate Intervention Unit of the Local Police of Palma, were dispatched to the scene.

At the scene, two people were treated for smoke inhalation and one was transferred to the Son Espases University Hospital in Palma.
As a consequence of the fire, the council's social services will rehouse the two people who occupied the affected premises, Cort has specified.
Precisely, this Wednesday the City Council announced that when the 200 people living in the prison are evicted, it will promote a new residential complex with more than a hundred endowment homes.
