PalmThe Palma Local Police have arrested a woman accused of keeping the money a man had paid her in advance for a room rental and subsequently preventing him from entering the property. According to a press release from the police force, the incident occurred on March 10th in the Rafal Vell neighborhood, after a patrol was alerted by the 092 emergency line following an argument between two people over a financial dispute related to a room rental. Upon arriving at the scene, a man explained to officers from the Comprehensive Security Unit (USEI) that he had signed a rental agreement with the homeowner the day before and had given her €620 in cash as a deposit. According to his account, the woman then began demanding more money via WhatsApp and ultimately barred him from entering the property.

The officers also interviewed the owner, a 35-year-old Spanish woman, who admitted to signing the contract and receiving the 620 euros. However, according to the Local Police, she admitted that she had no intention of renting the room and had kept the money because she needed it.

Given her confession and the evidence gathered, the officers arrested her. After completing the procedures at the Police Station, the woman was released, and the police report was sent to the Duty Magistrate's Court.
