The IEB publishes a free collection of 35 stickers with popular phrases from Mallorca, Menorca, Ibiza and Formentera
PalmaThe most popular expressions from the Balearic Islands now have a version for WhatsApp. 'Això és mel!', 'Bona nit, caragol!', 'Tanmateix' or 'Més pesat que un sac de martells' are part of the collection of 35 illustrated stickers that the Institut d'Estudis Baleàrics (IEB) has presented and that can be downloaded for free.
The initiative collects expressions typical of Mallorca, Menorca, Ibiza and Formentera, turned into stickers so they can be shared on instant messaging applications. The project is especially aimed at young people, although it is also designed to be used by anyone.
The stickers can be downloaded through the website Mou la Llengua, which gives access to the two packages available on Sticker.ly. Once added to the application, they are incorporated into the WhatsApp account and can be used in any conversation. No account needs to be created or service subscribed to.
In addition to the digital version, the collection has also been published in print. The stickers will be distributed at the stalls that the IEB will set up at fairs, festivals and other cultural events.
