Prohens defends the agreement in the Senate with Vox and the PSIB replies to her: "They are the same"

PalmaThe agreement of the PP with Vox to maximize results in the Senate has strained this Tuesday's control session of the Government. President Marga Prohens has sought to distance herself from the far right throughout the legislature, but now, the Balearic PP will have to incorporate a representative of Vox in the second place of the list for the Senate for Mallorca. In exchange, it will not present a list in any of the Balearic Islands. Prohens has defended the agreement by underlining that the PP has not "renounced either its acronyms or its principles", while the spokesperson for the PSIB, Iago Negueruela, responded that "they are the same and will be the same".

The first on the list for Mallorca for the Senate, Sebastià Sagreras, will have as second the journalist Belén Bordils, who was an advisor for the Vox group in the Valencia City Council. Carmen Ferrer and Ramón Sintes will run for Menorca and Ibiza. Vicent Tur, at the head of the Sa Unió coalition in Formentera, will be the candidate for this island. Prohens has boasted about the pact and accused Negueruela of fearing "losing senators" after "deceiving those of MÉS per Espanya" if the right-wing parties go together. "We want to unite the vote of all those who want Sánchez to leave, first to his home, and then before a judge," she continued.

The socialist has criticized the union of the PP with the far-right, especially the fact that it was Génova that announced the agreement between the parties for the territorial chamber. In the control session, Negueruela reminded the Popular Party member of her insistence on defending "the people from here." "Except if you have to represent the Balearic Islands in a territorial chamber, then it's fine if you are from anywhere or an independent person, like the head of Vox in the Valencian Community," he said in reference to Bordils.
