Catalina Soler's threats against a Felanitx police officer: "Fuck you, I'll send you to an office."
The officer has stated that he was "under the influence of alcohol" and that he insulted him repeatedly.

PalmSerious complaint from a Felanitx local police officer against the mayor of the municipality, Catalina Soler. According to the complaint filed by the police officer, to which ARA Baleares had access, the events occurred on July 12, when Soler repeatedly insulted and threatened a local police officer who was on duty at the Portocolom wine festival (WineFirst).
According to the police officer's complaint, and corroborated by both the police officer and the officers who were patrolling that night with the complainant, the mayor, "with obvious symptoms of being under the influence of alcohol," approached the police officer for unknown reasons, asking him where he was: "Don't worry. When the officer explained what he had done during his patrol duties, Soler called him a "liar." This is where, according to the police officer, the threats began. "Wake up, wake up, wake up... you still don't know anything."Carrajita, be alert that I always do what I say," he repeated in an aggressive and threatening tone.
Faced with the accusations and threats, the agent told Soler: "If you think I do not fulfill my duties and obligations, I made use of the disciplinary regime." Given the tension, the mayor during the day took her by the arm and told her to leave there and leave the agent alone. In addition, she threatened the police officer with "transferring him to an office alone and keeping him away from field work." that he should leave and she did so, continuing with the insults.
In view of everything that happened, the agent has filed the complaint explaining the facts and with the signatures of the officer on duty and the rest of the agents who were working that night, and has demanded that the mayor apologize and promise. the matter.
The mayor denies everything.
Catalina Soler assured this newspaper that she is "calm" because "there was no problem with the Felanitx Local Police officer." She explained that during the wine festival, she heard sexist comments directed at her by the officer, which she attributes to the fact that "she had applied for a position as an inspector and failed." She asserts that frustration at not having passed the tests led to both the sexist comments and the complaint.
The mayor also explained that they are studying the "legal consequences of this action taken by the officer" and has categorically denied that "it was under the influence of alcohol." Regarding the remaining questions posed by ARA Baleares, Soler stated that "at this time I prefer not to answer, and we will know in due time."
The PSOE (Spanish Socialist Workers' Party) calls for the mayor's "immediate resignation."
The Socialist group of Felanitx is calling for the immediate resignation of the mayor, Catalina Soler, after the complaint filed by the local police officer of the municipality was made public.
The Socialists are demanding that the mayor resign due to an alleged attack on the authority. "Catalina Soler has demonstrated a clear abuse of power; this is no way to treat an authority officer who works for the municipality you govern. Being mayor does not allow you to have carte blanche to do whatever you want," declared the Socialist spokesperson for the Felanitx City Council, Gracia González.
She also added that "the mayor has accustomed us to Lack of education and disrespect towards the opposition and the officials in the chamber. But now she's crossed a red line. She can't remain in office for another minute." Finally, the Felanitx Socialists wanted to show their support for the officer who received threats from the mayor. "Publicly denouncing these attitudes and abuse of power is an act of courage. Out of respect for the officers, the civil servants, and the entire municipality, Catalina Soler must step down as mayor," concluded Gracia González.
For its part, the Felanitx Bloc has announced that it will call for an extraordinary plenary session in response to the incidents reported by a local police officer. "The attacks, insults, threats, and coercion of an officer in the line of duty are extremely serious incidents that deserve an explanation and an apology from Ms. Soler. This is not the first time that the mayor has aggressively and publicly confronted workers and public servants of the City Council," they emphasized in a statement.
The Bloc also states that if "the mayor's explanations are not satisfactory," it will call for her resignation. "Felanitx cannot be in the hands of someone who simply does not know how to behave in public," they stated.
