Prohens condemns Vox's comment on Catalan and corruption: "I find it completely out of place."
The president criticized Toni Gili's speech, in which he compared aid to Catalans to spending money "on whores and cocaine."

PalmPrime Minister Marga Prohens criticized the comment made by Toni Gili, the spokesperson for Vox in the Consell de Mallorca (Mallorca Council), who compared the PP's support for subsidies aimed at defending and promoting Catalan with the PSOE's "public spending on whores and cocaine."
"Not only do I condemn it, but I think it's a completely inappropriate comment," Prohens stated this Monday at the press conference to present the Inuncaib (Spanish Socialist Workers' Party). For the president of the Balearic Government, the comment was "unfortunate" for two reasons. First, she explained, because the PP, both in the Government and in the Consell de Mallorca (Mallorca Council), "has always defended" the Statute of Autonomy, which establishes the promotion, dissemination, and protection of the island's own language. In this sense, she stated that she supports the island's language policy, granting subsidies for the promotion of Catalan.
On the other hand, she criticized the Vox spokesperson's comparison, which "trivializes the corruption of the PSOE." "Attempting to whitewash this prevailing machismo within the Socialist Party and drug use seems completely misguided and reprehensible to me," she stated.
