Arrested for selling the drug that killed a woman in Mahón

PalmThe National Police has arrested a drug dealer in Maó for the death of a woman to whom he sold drugs. As reported by the force, the events occurred on April 9, when several patrols responded to a call from 091, indicating that a dead woman had been found in a dwelling in the municipality and that she might have suffered an adverse reaction to a narcotic substance.

At the scene, paramedics stated that the victim could have been dead for more than an hour. Next to the woman was a man who admitted they had taken drugs together.

The man explained to the agents that upon waking he observed that the woman was not reacting. Therefore, he became alarmed and notified the dealer, who was the one who finally alerted the emergency services.

From that moment on, agents from the National Police station in Maó set up a device throughout the island to find the drug dealer.

On Sunday, the national police officers from the Maó Station, in collaboration with agents from the Local Brigade of Citizen Security of Ciutadella, located the suspect and arrested him as the alleged perpetrator of a crime of reckless homicide and another of drug trafficking.
