The Ico and M. F. C. , on trial Wednesday for drug trafficking
She continued to run the business from prison
PalmaThe Prosecutor's Office requests seven years and nine months in prison and a fine of one million euros for Francisco F., better known as 'el Ico', and M. F. C. Both, sons of 'la Paca' – also implicated in some drug trafficking cases – will sit on the defendants' bench this Wednesday at the Audiencia de Palma alongside ten other people for an alleged drug trafficking offense and another for belonging to a criminal organization.
The Public Prosecutor's Office accuses them of being engaged in the sale of cocaine in a "continuous and structured" manner at least from October 2016 to November 2017. According to the indictment, M. F. C. was responsible for obtaining the drug, establishing guidelines for its storage, and later distributing the economic benefits among the group members. She was helped in this by her partner, who is also one of the accused. The daughter even rented some storage units in her name to keep the cocaine. Another of the suspects was responsible for providing mobile phones to the members of the organization, as well as hiding the money obtained from trafficking, often with the help of his relatives.
The negotiations continued between bars
According to the Prosecutor's Office, the organization's operations were affected after the arrest of M. F. C. in September 2017. During the search, more than three kilos of cocaine were seized from her. Despite this, she and her partner, also arrested, continued to direct the organization from prison. According to the indictment, group members had to visit them at the penitentiary center to receive orders. The following month, the Police arrested ten more people accused of belonging to the same organization.
