A woman dies drowned at the beach of la Calobra

PalmaA 40-year-old woman of foreign nationality has drowned this Saturday while swimming at the beach of la Calobra, in the municipality of Escorca.

Around 1:00 PM, a call was received alerting of the incident, at which point those present had begun cardiopulmonary resuscitation maneuvers, according to SAMU 061.

Emergency services arrived at the area dispatched with a medicalized helicopter and an advanced life support ambulance to continue with the resuscitation. Despite their efforts, however, health services were unable to do anything to save her life.
