Mallorca reaches the limit: 99% of tourist rental homes are already occupied

PalmaThe tourist pressure on Mallorca continues relentlessly in the middle of high season. Tourist rental homes on the island have already reached a booking rate of 99% for this August, the highest of all coastal areas in the State, according to a study by Rentalia, Idealista's holiday platform.

This figure places Mallorca at the forefront of the state ranking for tourist accommodation occupancy and confirms another summer of maximum visitor influx. The island widely exceeds the average for the Spanish coast, which this year stands at 85.5% occupancy, one percentage point more than in August 2025.

After Mallorca, the destinations with the highest occupancy are Asturias (95.6%), Menorca (94.6%), Lanzarote (93.5%), and the coast of Alicante (92.2%). In contrast, travelers still looking for last-minute accommodation will find more availability in destinations such as Costa de la Llum in Huelva, Tenerife, the coast of Valencia, Costa Daurada, and the province of Barcelona.

The figures show that the supply of tourist homes in Mallorca is practically exhausted before entering August, the peak of the season. The study, based on the availability calendars of accommodations located less than fifteen kilometers from the coast, confirms that the island once again concentrates the highest demand of the entire Spanish coastline.

The report also indicates that the high demand is not limited to sun and beach tourism. Rural houses are also facing an August with very high occupancy: 87.6% are already booked across the State, according to data collected by the platform.
