Advisory Council of the Toni Catany International Photography Centre constituted
The consultative body, foreseen in the 2023 agreement, will advise on the artistic and cultural management of the center and brings together specialists of recognized international prestige
PalmaThe Toni Catany International Photography Centre already has an Advisory Council, a consultative body provided for in the management agreement signed in 2023 between the Toni Catany Foundation and the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sports. Its function will be to advise on matters of artistic and cultural management of the centre.
The body is made up of prestigious professionals in the fields of photography, art and cultural management, with the aim of ensuring an expert view on the development of the project.
The constitution of the Council will include the Board of Trustees of the Foundation; the Director General of Culture of the Government, Llorenç Perelló, and the mayoress of Llucmajor, Francisca Lascolas. After the event, the photographer Joan Fontcuberta, a member of the Council, led a visit to his exhibition The Milky Way / Portraying Trees.
The Advisory Council is made up of Jordi Alomar (Museum of Music of Barcelona), Pepe Font de Mora (Foto Colectania), Joan Fontcuberta, Horacio Fernández, Carlos Gollonet (MAPFRE Foundation), Cristina Ros (ARA Balears), Teresa-M. Sala (University of Barcelona), Jacques Terrasa (Sorbonne University) and Laura Terré.
