PalmaThe leader of the PP, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, will revalidate this Saturday morning at the Palma Congress Palace the leadership of Marga Prohens in the Balearic Islands. The president of the Government presented herself as the head of the PP list just a month ago, but the blessing of the party's national president is an indispensable step to prepare for the campaign.

While the Catalan Alejandro Fernández has had to fight for Feijóo to be photographed with him in Barcelona endorsing his candidacy for the party, Prohens' relationship with Madrid is good. The XII regional party congress has closed without injuries and sources from her team claim the party's internal unity as one of the main assets of her presidency, after years of clashes between councillors and party officials in the stage of José Ramón Bauzá.

The party presidents in Palma, Jaime Martínez, and in Mallorca, Llorenç Galmés, have kicked off the event. By a show of hands vote, both the Political Strategy and Statutes reports were unanimously approved. In parallel, the result of the vote for Prohens as PP president, which took place in the different groupings, was announced. She has revalidated her leadership with 99.93% of the votes cast.

In this regard, Prohens has announced the names that make up her executive, with the minister Sandra Fernández as general secretary and the spokesperson for the parliamentary group, Sebastià Sagreras, as party coordinator. Also part of it are Cati Soler, Estefanía Gonzalvo, Juanma Lafuente (Minister of the Sea), Vicent Roig, Jaume Bauzà (Minister of Tourism), Javi Ureña (Director General of IB-Salut), Fina Linares, Toni Costa (First Vice-President and Minister of Economy and Finance), Verónica Castelló, Mabel Navarro, Rafel Nadal Barceló, Joan Thomàs, Simó Adrover, Jaume Llompart, Rosa Tarragó, Joan Mesquida, Tomás Amer, Marta Andreu, Salomé Cabrera and Marga Durán (deputy spokesperson for the PP parliamentary group).
